     Coreografa - Danzatrice – Performer - Insegnante

Laureata in pedagogia del movimento, ha studiato danza classica e contemporanea. Si è perfezionata a Roma (Centro Professionale di Danza Contemporanea diretto da Elsa Piperno), Parigi, Londra e New York presso il Laban Centre, il Merce Cunningham Studio, la Limòn Foundation, Movement Research, il Nikolais Studio, la Alvin Ailey School (dove recentemente si è specializzata anche in Horton Pedagogy), danzando con Inventory Emotion di Richard Haisma, con Iris Park & Dancers e con il coreografo di A.Ailey Ray Tadio.

Nel 1995 è stata chiamata a far parte dell'organico della compagnia di danza del Theater der Stadt di Heidelberg quale danzatrice, maître di modern dance ed assistente coreografa di Liz King. Dal gennaio al giugno 1996 ha lavorato al Theaterhaus di Stoccarda quale tour assistant e maître di modern dance per la compagnia di Ismael Ivo, curando la messa in scena di "Othello" del coreografo Johann Kresnik e "Body Studio I & II" di Robert Poole e Roberto Galvan. Ha collaborato inoltre con il coreografo Marco Santi e il suo Ensemble AMRAS di Stoccarda. Nell'agosto 1996 ha partecipato al Tanz im August di Berlino, danzando nella coreografia "Transport" di Reinhild Hoffmann.

Nel 1997 ha coreografato e danzato "Quartetto di fuga" per la rassegna "Danza Urbana" di Bologna e presentato la coreografia "Mother" al Teatro Testoni nell'ambito del progetto dell'Università degli Studi di Bologna "L'ombra dei maestri: l'eredità vivente di Isadora Duncan". Tra il 1997 e il 1998 è stata guest trainer and assistant presso il Teatro di Weimar per la compagnia di teatro-danza diretta da Ismael Ivo. Dal 1999 collabora come insegnante e trainer con la compagnia newyorkese "Infinity Dance Theatre" diretta da Kitty Lunn. E’ stata trainer ed assistente della compagnia di teatrodanza di Marcia Haydée e Ismael Ivo (2000). Ha svolto attività di guest teacher presso scuole, conservatori e teatri internazionali (tra cui Oldenburg e Heidelberg con la coreografa Irina Pauls, Groningen con la compagnia NND/Galili Dance e Krisztina de Chatel Dansgroep).

E’ stata insegnante di danza contemporanea al Corso di Perfezionamento per Giovani Danzatori realizzato nel 2001 a Reggio Emilia da CRD/Aterballetto; da settembre 2001 ha iniziato la collaborazione come insegnante ospite con la Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst di Francoforte. Nell’autunno 2001 è stata inoltre assistente-coreografa e trainer di moderno per la compagnia di danza del Teatro di Innsbruck diretta da Jochen Ulrich e insegnante ospite al Teatro di Darmstadt per la compagnia di teatrodanza di Birgitta Trommler (primavera 2002), presso l’HKA-Accademia di danza di Arnhem/Olanda (autunno 2003), presso la Palucca Schule di Dresda (primavera 2004). Per il 2005 e 2006 è stata invitata come assistente e insegnante ospite della compagnia di danza del Teatro di Lucerna diretta da Verena Weiss. Nel 2006 ha debuttato il proprio solo Kuashi nell’ambito della rassegna FestTeatro (I/CH), ripreso nel 2007 per le celebrazioni del centenario di Kazuo Ohno organizzate dal Dipartimento di Musica e Spettacolo dell’Università di Bologna.

Nel 2006 ha conseguito il Master in Posturologia presso il Dipartimento di Medicina Sperimentale dell'Università 'La Sapienza' di Roma; tra il 2007 e il 2008 ha frequentato il I e II livello del corso per insegnanti Horton Pedagogy all'Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation di New York. La sua coreografia, Portrait. For Frida , commissionata dalla compagnia Infinity Dance Theater / Kitty Lunn, ha debuttato nel maggio 2009 al Joyce Soho Theater di New York. Nel settembre 2010 ha coreografato e danzato il solo Water Colours per l'evento in memoria di Bob Curtis all'Accademia Nazionale di Danza a Roma.

Recentemente ha completato il percorso di formazione per l'insegnamento della danza classica metodo Cecchetti conseguendo il DDE (Diploma in Dance Education) dell'ISTD di Londra e dal 2014 al 2016 e' stata docente ospite di danza moderno-contemporanea dell’Associazione Balletto Classico di Liliana Cosi - Marinel Stefanescu di Reggio Emilia. Nel novembre-dicembre 2016 e' stata docente di movimento nell'ambito del corso di alta formazione Fondamenti di Pratiche Attoriali organizzato da ERT-Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione.

Le ultime coreografie create sono Deconstructing Ophelia (Teatro 1763 di Villa Aldrovandi Mazzacorati, Bologna, 2013) e Prayer/Preghiera (I.Da.Co. -Italian Dance Connection- Festival, Sheen Center, New York, 2015 e Benjamin Briones Ballet - The Round Table Festival, New York, 2016).

Choreographer - Dancer - Performer - Teacher

Graduated in Science of Education at the University of Bologna (Italy), she started her studies of dance in Vicenza and then – thanks to a scholarship – in Rome at “Danza Prospettiva”, directed by Vittorio Biagi. She improved her techniques studying in Paris, London and New York (Alvin Ailey School) ; she attended Laban Centre, Merce Cunningham Studio, Limòn Foundation, Movement Research and Nikolais Studio , dancing in New York with Richard Haisma, Iris Park and Ray Tadio.

Back in Italy, she danced in the companies "Tir San Giminiano", "Espace Ritmique", "Teatro Presenza" and "Oroboro". In 1990 she founded in Bologna the dance company "Giardini Margherita" – from 1993 integrated in the Association “Arteatri” - for which she created the choreographies Trilogie/Mine Haha (from the novel by F. Wedekind), Terrae, Aut-Aut and Fragmenta, taking part as choreographer and dancer in many festivals of modern and contemporary dance in Italy and France.

In 1995 she was in the company of Heidelberg Theater der Stadt as dancer, maître of modern dance and choreographer assistant of Liz King. From january to june 1996 she worked with Theaterhaus Stuttgart as tour assistant and maître of modern dance for the Ismael Ivo company, assisting the representations of Othello (choreography by Johann Kresnik and Ismael Ivo) and Body Studio I & II (choreography by Robert Poole and Roberto Galvan). She collaborated also with the choreographer Marco Santi and his ensemble AMRAS in Stuttgart. In 1996 she took part at “Tanz im August” in Berlin, dancing in the choreography Transport by Reinhild Hoffmann.

Back in Italy again, in 1997 with her ensemble “Formazione Danza” she created the choreographies Quartetto di Fuga - performed at the Bologna Festival/Danza Urbana - and Mother – presented in the program dedicated to Isadora Duncan by the Department of Arts (DAMS) of the University of Bologna.

In 1997 and 1998 she was guest trainer and guest assistant at Weimar Deutsches NationalTheater in the “pièces” Petra Von Kant and Kuss im Rinnstein for the Tanztheater company directed by Ismael Ivo.

In 1999 she presented her choreography Ritrovato in the international meeting of the “Enrico Cecchetti Society”.

From 1997 to 2000 she was guest teacher of modern and contemporary dance at the “Hamlyn School” of Florence. From 1997 to 2003 she was permanent modern dance teacher at BSMT (The Bernstein School of Musical Theater) of Bologna. From 1999 she has been collaborating as teacher with the company "Infinity Dance Theatre" of New York directed by Kitty Lunn.

In 2000 she was in Vienna as assistant choreographer and trainer of Marcia Haydée & Ismael Ivo and Ensemble for the performance Floresta do Amazonas .

From the season 2001 she is guest theacher of modern/contemporary in Frankfurt at Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst (High School of Performing Arts).

In 2001/02 she has been working as guest teacher and trainer of contemporary dance and "ballet for modern" for NND/Galili Dance Company in Groningen, for Krisztina de Châtel Dansgroep (Amsterdam), for Irina Pauls TanzTheater Company at Heidelberg Theater der Stadt, for Birgitta Trommler TanzTheater Company at Darmstad StadtTheater, as guest assistant and modern teacher for Jochen Ulrich TanzTheater Company at Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck and as teacher of contemporary technique and choreography/composition for the Training Course for young dancers organised by CRD/Aterballetto in Reggio Emilia. In 2003 she was in Arnhem (The Netherlands) as guest teacher for contemporary at HKA-DansAcademie. In 2004 she was guest teacher of modern/contemporary in Dresden at Palucca Schule. In 2005 and 2006 she was guest trainer and choreographer assistant for the dance company directed by Verena Weiss at Luzerner Theater. In 2006 she’s been performing her new dance solo Kuashi (premiered for FestTeatro – I/CH), presented also for the ”Kazuo Ohno Centenary Celebrations ” at the University of Bologna-Performing Art Dept. (2007).

In 2006 she got a Master Degree in Posturology at the Experimental Medicine Dept. of “La Sapienza” University in Rome; in 2007/2008 she attended the Horton Pedagogy (teacher training) course (I & II level) at Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation in New York. Her choreography Portrait. For Frida, commissioned by Infinity Dance Theater / Kitty Lunn, was premiered in may 2009 at Joyce Soho in New York. In september 2010 she choreographed and danced the solo Water Colours for the event in memory of Bob Curtis at National Dance Academy in Rome.

Recently she attained the DDE (Diploma in Dance Education) with ISTD – Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (London) for classical ballet teaching – Cecchetti Method: from 2014 to 2016 she was guest teacher of modern-contemporary dance at Associazione Balletto Classico by Liliana Cosi - Marinel Stefanescu in Reggio Emilia. In november-december 2016 she was movement teacher for the training course Fondamenti di Pratiche Attoriali organised by ERT-Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione.
